TOEFL: The Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) assesses one’s ability to communicate in English language and also measures skills in reading, listening, speaking and writing. This test is a requirement to get admission into various universities in U.S.A and Canada. The TOEFL is scored on a scale of 0 – 120 and consists of 4 sections: Reading , Listening, Speaking and Writing.
IELTS: The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an English proficiency test that assesses an individual’s English language proficiencies: Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. Individuals aspiring to study in Canada must take
the Academic module.
However, individuals planning to immigrate, work or to start their own buiness in Canada must take the IELTS
General module. IELTS scores are awarded in terms of band scores ranging from 0-9. Test
takers must try to get at least 7.0 bands so that it may serve their
purpose.
